Fresh Strawberry Melon Juice

A simple cup of Fresh Strawberry Melon Juice will quench your thirst after a work out. This refreshing juice has no added sugar yet is so deliciously sweet.

Strawberry melon juiceWork has been unfortunately slow for me this month. So the other day, I took off in the morning and went to the gym. I have no motivation to work out by myself so I always go to those groupX classes, cuz I need someone to tell me what to do. I LOVE Lesmills bodycombat classes though, you’ll sweat like crazy but you’ll feel so accomplished afterward. Every time I work out is an extra piece of pie and an extra scoop of ice cream allowance for my tummy. But that day, I wanted something cold and refreshing. Fresh strawberry melon juice perhaps?

And tons of strawberries (from Costco no less), I was making a strawberry cream pie. 🙂 Recipe will be up in the near future. And of course my juicer in the back corner of the kitchen collecting dust…

Strawberry melon juiceIt’s probably been a year since I last used it. I jumped on the juicing train last year for maybe a MONTH! And then I got lazy and mostly hungry, really really hungry… Some days I felt like I could eat a cow. I never even had the courage to try those green recipes that called for kale and garlic and ginger and whatnots… I decided I prefer my veggie and garlic sauteed with a sprinkle of salt. But fresh strawberry melon juice I can do. Naturally sweet, refreshing and enjoyable! Most importantly, none of the ingredients have the capacity to gross you out.

Fresh Strawberry Melon Juice

Refreshing strawberry melon juice with no added sugar.

Course: Drinks
Servings: 1 cup

Ingredients
  • 12 oz ripe melon honeydew or cantaloupe
  • 4 oz strawberry
Instructions
  1. Slice fruits into 1/2” slices and pass through a juicer.
  2. If using blender, chop into cubes and blend until smooth. Strain the pulp or not, fiber is good for you.
  3. Pour over ice and serve immediately.
